Ofc the more the better but I would not be at all surprised if these were all the factions we would get. I think they will lock it in at 4 factions honestly. Unless ships in a first for COH become playable units. Problem is air and naval units are prevalent here and can only see them being represented through call-in/off-map abilities. The expansion would be an Island hopping campaign, similar to the Italian campaign in the base game. For multiplayer these would be a seperate search and a locked match up. I could see a completely new take on gameplay in the Pacific. It could be an expansion with an excuse to bring later war German faction/units. I would like to see a new fresh take on the Soviets, but that's not in this theatre of war. But then there'd be quite a bit of overlapping units/roles with said existing Italian flavoured battlefroups. Though it's the only realistic Axis force that could be still used. I'm quite happy with the Italian support units and doctrines, so am not dying for an Italian faction. The British can call on Indian and Nepali soldiers of the Gurkha for heavy-hitting assaults using Thompson submachine guns and Bren LMGs while being backed up by Indian artillery for even more carnage.I want to preface this by saying I know this is a long ways away, but since this game is the first to launch with 4, how many and what factions can you see being still released? Each of the four factions uses a new system called Battlegroups, which allows them to use specialised units to hit the enemy hard. It's not all sit back and let the enemy come to you, though, as the implementation on the Dingo Scout Car and Humber armoured car make for quick battlefield manoeuvring and assaults. One of the strongest elements of the British is their resilience and highly defensive capabilities, thanks to weaponry like the Pack Howitzer cannons, 6-Pounder Anti-Tank Guns, and 4.2 Heavy Mortar cannons. The British forces are one of the four factions that will be playable when Company of Heroes 3 launches, offering a selection of versatile units containing the Britsh and their Commonwealth allies.
